Charlie Lopez was a father, a dreamer, and a steward of his family’s legacy. He was a storyteller at heart—funny, wise, and full of lived experiences that spanned from the rugged wilds of Alaska to the peaceful shores of Hawaii. In Alaska, he spent time fishing and helping locals stock up for the long winters, living a life of service and adventure. In Hawaii, where he lived and worked for several years, he found a deep connection to the land, the ocean, and the culture—he truly loved the spirit of aloha. Charlie had a generous heart, and he adored animals as much as he did people. He also carried the responsibility of managing and preserving the historic Napa properties passed down through his family, never seeking credit, only doing what was right. His legacy lives on in the values he passed to his children—honor, kindness, curiosity, and a deep love for Napa "home".
